Graphic Designer

In this role, you will be responsible for ideating, designing, and executing high-quality creative solutions that resonate with our non-profit clients and their memberships. Design work includes marketing collateral, digital and interactive newsletters, website content, conference branding, and social media content. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Ideate and design conference/event collateral including programs, sponsor prospectus, marketing, conference apps, signage, etc.

  • Design communication templates in email marketing platforms and/or AMS systems. May include newsletters, email blasts, and other types of communications.

  • Develop and maintain client branding standards.

  • Manage and design elements for client websites. Client websites primarily build in as part of their AMS platform with potential for WordPress-based sites.

  • Design social media collateral for clients, primarily focused on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.

  • Collaborate with the client teams to develop cohesive and effective marketing materials across multiple platforms.

  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

  • Be responsible for quality assurance including edits, proofreading, revisions, and approvals.

  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure our creative work remains fresh and relevant.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience in the graphic design field, preferably in a small business, non-profit, association, or billable hour environment. 

  • Solid experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.

  • Solid experience with the Microsoft Office environment.

  • Experience with the following platforms will be beneficial:

    • Email marketing platforms, such as Constant Contact, MailChimp, et.

    • Association management systems (AMS), especially those also used to host websites.

  • Must be a self-starter capable of working with limited supervision and able to collaborate in a team-based environment.

  • Demonstrated excellence with organizational and project management skills.

    • We utilize Basecamp to manage all client work. Usage of the system is required.

  • Understanding of printing processes and preparing files for vendors/clients

  • A keen attention to detail.

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, responding quickly and thoughtfully to urgent issues is a must.

  • Ability to effectively communicate status on deliverables, identify potentially conflicting priorities, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts is required.

  • Aptitude to learn and advance with new systems and technologies.

  • Web site content, design experience, familiarity with social media a plus but we provide opportunity for training.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Degree in graphic design or related field a plus. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable.

  • Motion graphics experience is a plus.

  • Experience with WordPress is a plus.

  • Basic website coding and HTML experience a plus.

 

Notes: 

  • Annual salary range is $45,000-$55,000.

  • We seek a full-time employee and are not open to independent contractors or third party contractors.

  • To be considered for this role, you must reside in one of the following states: DC, GA, IL, IN, MA, MD, MI, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, TN, or VA.

  • The position allows for remote work, however collaboration with teammates centered in the Eastern time zone is essential.
